The source told the Daily Express: “Doria has really been Meghan’s rock over the past year. Not only has she been there for her daughter but has enjoyed helping to look after the grandchildren.”

While Archie has barely seen his royal side of the family, Meghan’s mum was been there to offer support as a very “hands-on” grandparent from the start and she has since done the same for her granddaughter.
Doria even went as far as to reportedly take grandparenting lessons from baby expert Brandi Jordan, which cost an eyewatering £5,000 a session.
The devoted grandmother has since provided “indispensable” help to her daughter and Prince Harry during her grandchildrens’ early days.
While it’s likely the children adore having their grandmother around, the insider shared: “Harry adores her as well and loves having her there. There are times when he needs alone time, so Doria heads over to the guesthouse to make herself scarce when needed.”
Aside from baby training, the yoga teacher also signed up to Brandi’s Cradle Company service – a “postpartum resource center” that assists in “bringing your family balance, structure, guidance, and harmony.”
Doria’s stepmother, Ava Burrows, also said she believed she would be an incredibly active grandparent.
“In some families in the US, grandma is a big deal,” she told Mail Online.
“Historically, in our culture, the mother worked long hours and needed all the support with her kids that she could get.
“Doria is very important to Meghan, and vice-versa. So I’m sure she wants to be a big part of her life, and her baby’s life.
“She’ll be a wonderful grandmother,” she added at the time.
The source also told the Daily Express that the close relationship Harry has with Doria has come as a welcomed distraction from the issues he has recently with his own family in the UK.
The rift between the Sussexes and the Royal Family is growing ever wider and hopes are fading that Harry will be able to reconcile with his father, King Charles, and brother Prince William.
Harry appreciates the warmth and kindness that Doria brings to the family, the source claimed: “He doesn’t get that from his side of the family and thinks it important that the children are close with their grandmother.”
