Meghan Markle's three most iconic jewellery moments with strong sentimental value

In 2017, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s now-husband Prince Harry worked with the late Queen Elizabeth II’s jeweller Cleave & Company to create a distinctive three-stone engagement ring.

The three-carat cushion-cut diamond in the centrepiece of the ring has sentimental value because it’s from Botswana, where the couple spent time early in their relationship.

The Duke of Sussex received the two side stones, which are each thought to weigh one carat each, from Princess Diana’s personal collection after she died, adding even more sentimentality.

However, devoted royal watchers discovered that Meghan changed her ring in 2019. The thin micro-paved diamond band that had been used in place of the yellow gold engagement ring band increased the value of the ring.

Meghan donned Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau tiara on her wedding day to Harry, which the late Queen Elizabeth II loaned the Duchess for her special day.

The centrepiece of the tiara is a diamond-encrusted brooch with 10 diamonds that lie in the middle.

The item, which was originally given to Queen Mary of Teck by the County of Lincoln in 1893, was transformed into a tiara in 1932, 40 years later.

This one-of-a-kind headpiece’s bandeau, which is composed of diamonds and platinum and has interlaced ovals and pavé diamonds, was created especially to go with the brooch.

Meghan is the sole royal to have worn the tiara in recent years, despite the fact that Queen Mary officially left the tiara to the late Queen Elizabeth II when she died in 1952.

Meghan was additionally photographed donning a magnificent 13-carat aquamarine ring that once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana at her and Harry’s 2018 wedding reception.

Princess Diana received the Asprey ring from her friend Lucia Flecha de Lima in the mid-1990s.

The emerald-cut aquamarine stone is flanked by tiny, solitaire diamonds and set in 24-carat yellow gold in what is known as the late Princess’s “divorce-ring”.

Prior to the Princess’s death in 1997, the ring was only worn twice in public. Meghan likely wore it for her wedding reception as a touching tribute to her husband’s late mother on their special day.
