Meghan Markle’s telling move shows she’s ‘put a stamp on Prince Harry’

Lady Victoria Hervey has said Meghan Markle looked like she was “putting her stamp” on Prince Harry during a glamorous polo match when another woman appeared to try and pose with the Prince.

Appearing on GB News America with Nana Akua, Lady Hervey gave her view on reports the Duchess of Sussex was filmed seemingly telling a woman not to stand next to her husband during the trophy presentation ceremony.

Prince Harry and Meghan were at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Florida, USA, for a polo tournament held every year in aid of Sentebale, the charity Harry co-founded in 2006 that supports young people and children living in southern Africa.

Having seen his team win the match 3-1, Prince Harry took to the winners’ rostrum alongside several other guests and teammates as well as lady in a cream dress who at one stage appeared to want to pose with him for the cameras.

An animated Meghan Markle was then seen supposedly remonstrating with the guest to ensure she was the one pictured by her royal spouse.

Speaking on GB News, Lady Hervey said the scene to her appeared to be as if “it was very much like Meghan putting her stamp on Harry”.

She said: “Like, ‘he’s mine, go over there’, she sort of hand signals him to go somewhere else then goes in for the kiss. It was a gesture of domination, not even letting another woman stand next to him in the photo.”

Lady Hervey added in her opinion it was “not really a good look”, to which Ms Akua agreed saying the Duchess of Sussex, 42, should be “sure in herself”.

Prince Harry captained the Royal Salute Sentebale Team against the Grand Champions Team on Friday April 12, led by his good friend Argentinian polo player Nacho Figueras.

Figueras told reporters at the event that he and Harry “joke a lot about who is going to win” and said the duke is “a very good rider”. He said: “He’s a very good athlete, he has great eye-hand coordination. He’s very competitive. He’s a very good polo player.”

Harry’s team won both games, in front of the around 300 spectators meaning he received the trophy for winning the mini-tournament and received a kiss on the cheek from Meghan when accepting the award.

Polo will be the subject of a new Netflix series which will see the Duke and Duchess acting as executive producers.
