Meghan Markle's subtle nod to Prince William as details of secret Dusseldorf trip emerges

The pictures, which were spotted on a fan page dedicated to the Duchess of Sussex, showed Meghan pictured with Aylin.

The images are undated but are believed to have been taken just before Meghan and Harry left Germany last week.

Meghan, who opted for a monochrome look, wore a cable knit long-sleeved top and pleated black wide-leg trousers, both by the brand Toteme.

According to the fan page who shared the images, TrebeCafé helps women and girls “find respite, nourishment and a compassionate ear for their troubles”.

Around the same time that Meghan is believed to have been on the visit, Prince William was preparing to land in the Sussexes’ home country of the United States for a week of Earthshot events.

Meghan’s visit appeared to give a subtle nod to Prince William, with the royal holding a connection to homelessness.

William’s project Homewards, which was launched in June, plans to “end homelessness” and make it “rare, brief and unrepeated”.

The project, which is deemed a “transformative five-year, locally led programme”, was launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

During Meghan’s visit, she also met a little girl – who looked to be around the same age as her own daughter Lilibet – who presented her with a dish.

In the image, Meghan can be seen bending down to the little girl’s height during their sweet interaction.

Meghan arrived in Germany on Monday, September 11 – remaining alongside Harry until the Games ended on September 16.

Despite their parents being in Europe, the couple’s two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, remained at their home in the US.
