Meghan Markle's political ambitions shot down as she lacks one key quality

The royal biographer explained: “Politicians need to be focused elsewhere. But the trouble is she seeks headlines and spotlight.”

In addition to misusing her time and energies, Bower went on, “it’s very damaging to the Royal Family”.

The royal biographer cited the Duchess’ now-infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey as an example.

During the 2021 interview, Meghan insinuated that a member of the Royal Family was racist towards her.

The allegation generated a flurry of headlines that swiftly engulfed the Firm in a race row.

Meghan may have slim odds of making it as a politician, but Bower does not rule it out entirely.

He said: “She will use her status to promote her ambitions.

“I think it will become clearer in a year or two when the children are a bit older whether she goes into politics.”

Other royal commentators are less convinced she will enter the political arena.

“I don’t think she would go off in that direction. She’s not a political animal in that sense,” Clive Irving, author of The Last Queen and royal columnist at The Daily Beast previously told Express US.

All options are on the table for Meghan and her husband Prince Harry, however, Irving adds.

“Prince Harry and Meghan’s celebrity used to rest on the former’s connection to the Royal Family, but they’ve now been celebrities in their own right for so long that they don’t need to trade on that anymore. That’s no longer part of their lives.”
