Meghan Markle's 'new Instagram' already has 103,000 followers with launch 'imminent'

Up to 103,000 fans have followed a new Instagram account that could be Meghan Markle’s new page after she announced she is returning to the platform after a long hiatus.

The Duchess of Sussex is poised to make a spectacular comeback to the social media picture-sharing platform since she stepped back in 2020.

Meghan, 42, has been teasing her return for months and could be dropping a post on the @meghan account imminently, her fans have speculated.

So far, a suspected new account has 0 posts and is following 0 other accounts. But at least 103,000 people are following the empty page.

Meghan’s previous solo Instagram account was closed down ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry in May 2018.

Meanwhile, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield claimed earlier this year that Meghan may be wanting to “reclaim her identity” with a potential social media comeback.

She said: “Perhaps this is Meghan trying to reclaim her identity, telling the world that she is more than Harry’s plus 1.”
