Meghan Markle’s ex-friend warns King Charles to 'grow backbone' and 'shut down memoirs’

Meghan Markle’s former friend Lizzie Cundy appeared to hit out at her ex-pal and Prince Harry as she issued a blunt warning to King Charles III.

In a recent interview, the 55-year-old socialite and TV personality called on the King to “intervene” and “stop her memoirs”.

Lizzie, who was previously married to footballer Jason Cundy, told The Mirror: “Enough now of their moaning and whinging, all they do is backstab and make a career out of complaining.”

She went on to say how the UK was now a “laughing stock” across the Pond, citing Family Guy’s recent parody of Meghan and Harry.

In the cartoon, which is renowned for swiping at famous figures, the Royal couple were depicted poolside on sun loungers.

At one point, in the skit, Meghan told Prince Harry: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.”

They were also approached by their butler, who told them their cheque “for millions from Netflix for no one knows what” had arrived.

Prince Harry simply told the butler to put it with the “rest of them” as the servant duly complied.

Lizzie admitted she was fearful the Royal Family would become an even bigger source of ridicule should Meghan decide to drop her own explosive memoir.

Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare, which came out earlier this year, caused ructions of its own when it was published back in January.

Lizzie even directly addressed her friend directly as she told Meghan to “put down the pen”.

She said the Royal Family “can’t take it anymore” while the British public had had “enough”.

The socialite then had a stark message for the King, advising him to “grow a backbone” and “tell her straight”.
