Meghan Markle had a mishap with a microphone as she took to the stage for a charity fundraising event in Santa Barbara, near her family home in Montecito, last Friday, September 22.
She and Prince Harry were greeted with rapturous applause as they were called onstage at Kevin Costner’s One805 Live! event at his £21.2 million ($26 million) polo field, with the charity providing financial aid and mental health support to first responders.
However, Meghan then reaches out to take the microphone, before awkwardly realising it is not yet time for her to make her speech.
But the Duchess kept her cool, as she speeds across the stage to present an award to the actor and carries on as if her mistake had never happened.
Many of their other celebrity friends were at the event, including Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Ellene DeGeneres and Portia di Rossi.
