Meghan Markle's controversial new brand a 'subtle snub to the Royal Family'

Meghan Markle continues to make waves with her latest venture, American Riviera Orchard, as some belive it may exacerbate tensions with the Royal Family.

Royal expert Ron Torossian, founder and chairman of 5WPR, weighed in on the significance of Meghan’s brand choice, describing it as a subtle snub to the British Royals.

Speaking to Daily Express US, he claimed: “Her new project is very American branded, it diminishes the image of the British Royals. She has a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard – not the British Riviera Orchard, it tells you in a sense that there is a link to her status as a California resident.

“She prefers the California Riviera to the European coastlines,” he added, claiming the move was a “slight” to the Royal Family.

The unveiling of American Riviera Orchard was marked by a video shared on Instagram, featuring Meghan showcasing her culinary skills in a picturesque kitchen adorned with white and pink flowers.

The brand’s focus includes the production and sale of various products, such as jams, which will align with Meghan’s upcoming cookery show for Netflix.

Plans for future expansions, including a book and a blog, are also on the horizon.

The trademark for American Riviera Orchard covers a wide array of goods, ranging from cutlery to recipe books, hinting at potential retail endeavors in the future.
