Meghan Markle wows at final royal engagement as 'gorgeous' dress goes viral online

Meghan Markle’s fans are going crazy for the Duchess of Sussex’s final appearance as a working royal in 2020 after a TikTok video went viral.

Members of Team Sussex have put together a compilation video of Meghan’s final moments as a working royal, showcasing the iconic green outfit she wore at her final engagement. The video is getting a lot of traction, with 25.4K likes and 926 comments so far.

Fans have been quick to praise the Duchess for her fashion choice, with one user writing: “Lots of love for Meghan” while another posted: “Royal or not, she’s still a Queen!”

A third user wrote: “I just can’t stop watching her. She’s truly drop dead gorgeous!!!”

In the clip, Harry and Meghan are seen walking up to Westminster Abbey, hand in hand. From there, we see the Duchess sitting quietly. Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, appears to glance at Meghan, prompting the latter to look down and turn away.

In the next segment, then-Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, are seen entering the room. Meghan does a slight curtsey and bows her head, while grinning. Typically, when doing a curtsey, one would keep their eyes down and refrain from smiling.

At the time, the BBC commented on Meghan’s last engagement, writing: “Their final engagement at Westminster Abbey showcased everything Harry and Meghan are now leaving behind – ceremony, pomp, formality and just a bit of royal hierarchy.

“The Sussexes sat behind the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Was there a tension or any sign of family frostiness? It was impossible to tell.”

Their last royal engagement was on March 9, 2020. It was the first time the Sussexes had appeared with other members of the Royal Family since announcing they planned to “step back” as working royals.

Harry and Meghan joined Queen Elizabeth II, Charles, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday afternoon.

On March 31, 2020, they stopped using their HRH titles and receiving public money. Speeding up to now, Harry is currently in the courts fighting to get his UK security back, which would be paid for by the British public, if the case ends in his favor.
