Meghan Markle 'struggling to find a purpose' as she resorts to 'tagging onto Harry'

Meghan Markle is “struggling to find a purpose” and has resorted to “tagging onto Prince Harry’s coattails”, according to a body language analyst.

The Sussexes have recently been in New York for their first in-person Archewell Foundation event, which coincided with World Mental Health Day on October 10.

The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit was aimed to helping parents manage their children’s mental health and wellbeing in a digital age.

While speaking on a panel Meghan displayed “joy and happiness” while her husband appeared “frustrated”, body language expert Darren Stanton claimed.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie he said: “We can see in a number of photos from the New York conference that she’s beaming. She’s got a big smile on but he’s looking like someone stole his sweets.

“His eyebrows are down and pulled together, displaying frustration and anger and you think ‘why is Meghan displaying joy and happiness and he’s not?’

“I think the fundamental reason is that she struggles at the moment to find a purpose so she almost tags onto Harry’s coattails and I think he finds it frustrating because he’s trying to achieve certain things but with her there, his message gets diluted and it’s almost like having to share airtime, even though it’s his wife.”

However Mr Stanton assured that this was no indication of any bitternes between the husband and wife, as he added: “There’s a little bit of tension from Harry that when Meghan turns up he has to relinquish his power to her.

“There are a couple of nice shots at the media wall where he’s looking at the camera and she’s looking up at him adoringly. It does look authentic and it’s clear they love each other, but we do see a degree of frustration and angst coming from Harry when Meghan is around.”

Expert Judi James exclusively told Express.co.uk how Harry appeared “haunted” while in the Big Apple, and was “much more serious” than his wife.

She explained: “Harry’s eye expression looks haunted, as it did during his last few weeks before he quit the UK. The subject on the agenda seems to be one that he might find personally troubling and emotive.

“He appears much more serious and even grim-faced, which could be an announcement gesture for his planned approach to the subject.”

Harry and Meghan’s trip to New York marked the first time they had returned to the city since their “near catastrophic” car chase with the paparazzi following an awards ceremony in May.

Their security detail this time around was much more obvious, as they arrived in a seven-car motorcade for the event on Tuesday.
