Meghan Markle could go solo with her career after reportedly receiving “offers” from a variety of brands, a royal expert has claimed. The Duchess of Sussex has worked with her husband Prince Harry on a number of projects since the couple stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020 but that could all be about to change. Meghan has reportedly hired a new agent to help her build professional connections, with an expert claiming she has her eyes set on taking a “divergent” career path to Harry.
The couple worked together on a number of projects since moving to the US. Their interview with Oprah Winfrey came just months after the couple moved, with their Netflix docu-series being the latest project under their belts.
But with their deal with Spotify now axed, royal expert Daniela Elsa believes Meghan could go solo when it comes to work from now on.
She said: “With their podcast deal with Spotify having gone the way of the Dodo and Princess Margaret, it is looking increasingly like the duchess has traded their Sussex double act for her own one-woman show.
“Meghan – and only Meghan – has a new super agent and reportedly ‘offers have been pouring in’ for Meghan – and only Meghan,” she said.
Harry is currently occupied with his Heart of Invictus Netflix documentary, meaning he has little time to collaborate with his wife while her advisors suggested she “plot her next chapter”.
Writing for news.com.au, the expert continued: “It looks a lot like, for the first time, the couple are truly on divergent professional paths.”
Daniela’s comments come after Netflix was forced to speak out on the rumours it would be parting ways with the Sussexes.
A source had claimed the streaming giant wanted Harry and Meghan to come up with “more great ideas” if they wanted to take home £40million in outstanding fees.

However, Netflix has denied the rumours and confirmed that they have a strong connection with Meghan and Harry.
“The bond with Archewell Productions is one we deeply value. Harry & Meghan launched as Netflix’s most spectacular documentary debut to date,” a Netflix spokesperson said.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, they added: “Our exciting journey with them isn’t ending anytime soon.
“We’re currently collaborating on numerous projects, including the much-anticipated documentary series Heart of Invictus.”
