Meghan Markle sends 'unsolicited' message to Kelly Clarkson via former Suits co-star

He was trying to change a decision that downgraded his security status when he stopped being a “working royal”. Harry was worried about his safety and that of his wife and two children.

After the High Court’s decision, we now know more about Harry’s case, including his worries for his family when he comes to Britain.

The legal proceedings about the case were mostly private in December.

Retired High Court judge Sir Peter Lane gave the ruling on Wednesday morning.

In the ruling, Sir Peter Lane said no to Harry’s case. He said Ravec’s approach was not irrational or unfair.

Sir Peter said Harry’s lawyers had taken “an inappropriate, formalist interpretation of the Ravec process”. Harry’s lawyers said he was “singled out” and treated “less favourably”.

In December, when Harry made the challenge, Home Office lawyers told the High Court that Harry would still have police security paid for by the public. But this would be “bespoke arrangements, specifically tailored to him”, not the automatic security given to full-time working royals.

A few hours after the announcement, Harry said he plans to appeal the decision.
