Meghan Markle 'pushing for grovelling apology' from Royal Family before return to UK

Meghan Markle is “pushing for an apology” from the Royal Family before she agrees to any reconciliatory visit to the UK, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex has had a strained relationship with senior members of Prince Harry’s family for years, and she levelled a series of egregious accusations at them after stepping down from her official role.

The Duke doubled down on the claims in his memoir Spare, and he has repeatedly demanded an official apology be made to his wife.

Reports have emerged in recent weeks claiming Prince William would like to “reconcile” with his estranged brother but author Tom Quinn suggested peace is unlikely to happen until Meghan sees an honest expression of regret.

The author claimed the Duchess recently said that “until she feels that the Royal Family have been sufficiently nice to her – and grovellingly apologised for the past – it’s not going to happen.”
