Meghan Markle opens new wing of London animal charity as she pays tribute to beloved pal

Meghan Markle has opened a new wing of a London animal charity Mayhew today, appearing at the grand opening via video-link.

While speaking to those gathered for the grand reveal, the Duchess of Sussex paid a touching tribute to her late ‘beloved friend’ Oli Juste.

She told how the dog trainer’s sudden death in January 2022 has left her heartbroken as his friends and family gathered at Mayhew where the Oli Juste wing was unveiled.

The event was documented on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new website, which read: “On Wednesday, UK-based animal rescue Mayhew Animal Home opened a new wing in their London facility to transform the Home, providing wonderful spaces for enrichment, training and therapy. The Wing, named in honor of Oli Juste, will provide greater care for dogs in need, and was dedicated in memory of the renowned dog trainer and animal behaviorist by his friend Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.”
