Meghan Markle mouthpiece claims duchess was told to 'be more Black' and 'let her Afro out'

Meghan Markle is claimed to have been told to “be more Black” during an engagement linked to Nelson Mandela, a royal author has said.

Omid Scobie wrote in Endgame, which was published on Tuesday, that the Duchess of Sussex was told to “let her Afro out” during an engagement linked to Nelson Mandela.

Meghan met with Nelson Mandela’s widow, Graça Machel during a royal tour with Prince Harry in July 2018 but Scobie did not make it clear when the comment was allegedly made.

He wrote: “The senior courtier who hollered, “Oh my God. What a legend!” when they heard that a photographer had commented that Meghan should “be more Black and wear some African garb… let her Afro out” at an engagement linked to Nelson Mandela.”
