Meghan Markle leaves royal fans asking same question after puzzling aspect of new product

Meghan Markle has unveiled her first product to be sold under her new business venture ‘American Riviera Orchard’, but the strawberry jam’s delivery and presentation have left fans completely miffed.

Lucky recipients of the jam, including influencers and close friends of Meghan, quickly took to social media and shared pictures of their strawberry jam deliveries displayed alongside a basket of lemons.

This has left fans confused stating there is no obvious link between the two items. X user, @Kyliewe44398439 wrote: “Why photograph strawberry jam in a basket of lemons? Why would’t you use strawberries?”

Whereas @TheWoolPainter wrote: “I’m a little confused as to why she has displayed it in a basket of lemons, wouldn’t you have fresh strawberries to hint at the contents, its freshness and its authenticity?”

Another user wrote: “Who puts strawberry jam in a basket of lemons? Surely that should be lemon curd? Marketing is not Meghan’s forte”.

In images shown on social media, Meghan’s jam was presented in a glass jar with a fabric lid with the American Riviera Orchard logo stamped on the top.

The lid is fastened in a neat bow and a label is stuck to the front that also features Meghan’s brand name and Montecito underneath. Each of the jam jars have been hand numbered between 1-50.

The jam is not yet for sale, and it is unclear how much it will retail for.

Fashion designer Tracy Robbins and Argentine socialite Delfina Balquier were among the lucky recipients of the new product.

Mrs Robbins shared two images of the jam on her Instagram, the first showed her holding the jar in her hand and she said:”@AmericanRivieraOrchard breakfast, lunch and dinner just got a little sweeter.”

Her second post showed the jam, which was number 17 of 50, in the basket of lemons – which royal observers have critised.

Meghan launched her brand on March 14. She promoted it with an Instagram teaser trailer and has since created a new website, American Riviera Orchard. The website is not yet fully functioning, though fans can subscribe to receive updates.

The Duchess of Sussex unveiled her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, in March. The trademark for the brand, filed in February, mentions decanters, kitchen linens, pet accessories, table card holders, nut butters, spreads, preserves, and jellies.

The preview video American Riviera Orchard, appears to show the Duchess focusing on various lifestyle topics.

From flower arranging to cooking in a stunning kitchen, it seems like serene and domestic bliss will be a cornerstone of the brand.
