Meghan Markle given stern advice about marrying into the Royal Family by Hollywood friends

A Hollywood friend and former coworker of Meghan Markle has shared the advice he gave her when he learned she was dating Prince Harry.

Wendell Pierce, who played Meghan’s on-screen father in the hit series Suits, reminisced about offering fatherly advice during her time on the show, particularly as her romance with Prince Harry began to blossom.

Speaking to E! News, Pierce recounted a poignant moment from their last day filming together, which coincided with Meghan’s on-screen wedding and her real-life burgeoning royal love story.

He said: “I’m always reminded of the last day working with Meghan, which was the wedding scene prior to her engagement to the prince. I said, ‘Meghan, your life is going to be a whirlwind. You’re going to be in this bubble.'”

He told her: “‘I just want you to remember that no matter what happens, you always have friends and I hope you count me in that number.’ I’m so grateful that I was able to express that to her before the whirlwind engagement and [the] wedding and becoming the duchess.”

Meghan – who is in the midst of launching a lifestyle brand – departed from Suits at the end of the seventh season to begin her new life as part of the British Royal Family, while Pierce continued his role as attorney Robert Zane until the show concluded in 2019.

Since marrying into the Royal Family, the Duchess of Sussex has been on a series of ups and downs. From a successful beginning, during which the couple were embraced by the public and enjoyed various successful overseas tours, relations went down hill.

The true extent of this came to light when Meghan – briefly joined by Prince Harry – gave a controversial interview with Oprah after the Sussexes left the family as working royals.
