Meghan Markle faces 'struggle to the top' of Hollywood and risks 'treading on fingers'

Meghan Markle would have to “struggle to the top” of Hollywood, possibly “treading on a few fingers” to conquer the screen.

Former BBC royal reporter Michael Cole discussed the “cultural differences” between Hollywood and Britain.

Cole says the way people address each other in the US is different to how we would expect to speak to people in the United Kingdom.

He highlighted the American use of “get” as a key language difference.

Speaking to GB News, Cole explained: “There’s none of the civility, none of the politeness, none of the things that we take for granted in this country or certainly used to.

Speaking to GB News, Cole explained: “

“When you have to struggle to the top in Hollywood, you can bet your life you’ve had to tread on a few fingers on the way there.”

Of the difference with UK and US culture, he added: “Do you know what I think it is? It’s a cultural difference in this country.

“We tend to say, if we’re talking to the waiter or somebody serving us in the shop, may I have or could I possibly have something?

“In America, they say can I get a cheeseburger? It’s so very different.”

Cole said the cultural difference is “accentuated” in Hollywood, where workers are “given orders”.

Meghan began her acting career in 1995 and before spending seven years as Rachel Zane in Suits.

Express Online has contacted Meghan’s representatives for a comment on Cole’s claims.
