Meghan Markle could become world's highest-paid influencer and earn £200k a post

Meghan Markle could rake in millions and quickly become the world’s highest-paid influencer, according to a brand expert. The Duchess of Sussex is looking for her next career move after Spotify decided against renewing her podcast Archetypes for a second season. The ‘mutual’ decision to end the relationship with the podcast platform early could see Harry and Meghan lose a mammoth $10million (£7,797,880).

A Spotify insider told Variety that the company dropped the couple because the couple had made just one programme in just three years.

However, speaking with the MailOnline, brand expert Nick Ede predicted that Meghan could soon bounce back bigger than ever.

Mr Eke said that a fashion deal with Dior was reportedly in the works.

Meghan is tipped to become the new face of the French fashion house, alongside other celebrities like Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence.

The Duchess has long been a fan of the French fashion brand and was spotted wearing it head-to-toe at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee service.

Mr Eke said: “Meghan could become one of the biggest influencers in the world.

“She is already one of the most talked about and photographed people so maximising her profit and aligning herself with these brands is a very lucrative step.”

He compared the deal to the Kardashian family’s relationship with Dolce and Gabbana, which reportedly saw Kim Kardashian paid $47million for simply wearing the designer on her wedding day.

Mr Eke continued: “With a brand like Dior affiliating with her they could be spending millions on her and make millions too.

“Meghan therefore could command millions by being a face of Dior and she could make hundreds of thousands per post.”

Another source – a ‘prominent Beverly Hills socialite’ – told the Mail on Sunday that Meghan’s deal with Dior was “all anyone is talking about” in Hollywood.

The source said: “There have been rumours for weeks that she’s about to sign a deal with Dior which has put the gossip mill into overdrive.”

Alison Bringe, from brand performance company Lauchmetrics, echoed this sentiment: “She’ll be in line with the best-paid mega-influencers, if not the highest paid in the world.”

The Dior deal is understood to be a part of the rebrand plan from Meghan’s new talent agency William Morris Endeavour (WME)

Ari Emanuel is the chief of the talent agency and is said to be “the best in the business” when it comes to “corporate deals and making money”.

A WME insider told the MailOnline that the agency’s chief of talent, Ari Emanuel, has “thrown all his energy” into Meghan.
