Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 'notable' silence on Endgame a threat to Hollywood plans

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may see their Hollywood dream go up in smoke if they continue to keep quiet about Omid Scobie’s new book Endgame, a PR expert has claimed.

The author has repeatedly been associated with the couple, and the Duchess of Sussex last year was forced to admit she had contributed to the drafting of Scobie’s book with colleague Carolyn Durant, Finding Freedom.

The new biography has reignited speculation on whether Harry and Meghan provided the author with inside information as he repeatedly hit out at senior members of the Royal Family.

PR expert Renae Smith told the Daily Express that the “notable” silence the couple have maintained about the allegations could ultimately impact their plans to carve a role for themselves in Hollywood.

Smith said: “The Sussexes’ choice to remain silent on ‘Endgame’ raises immediate questions, especially given their history of openly addressing public matters.

“While Scobie has distanced himself from the Sussexes, their silence on the claims in ‘Endgame’ is notable.

“Typically vocal on public issues, their lack of response could be misconstrued as an endorsement of the book’s contents.

“This silence might impact their public image, potentially making them appear untrustworthy to potential partners.”

Meghan and Harry already experienced considerable setbacks in the early stages of their new life away from the monarchy because of a series of interviews in which they openly laid out their grievances about the Royal Family.

Following the release of the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan last year, the royal pair have been slowly trying to rebuild their public image and reclaim support from the public after their popularity went through a dramatic plunge.

The Atticism PR founder continued: “Partners and collaborators who prioritise privacy might view the couple’s latest silence with suspicion.

“This is particularly relevant in high-profile partnerships where discretion is paramount.

“The mere implication that Harry and Meghan are willing to divulge personal details, as suggested by their rumoured association with ‘Endgame,’ could lead to hesitancy or reluctance from potential partners.”

Smith added: “It’s a precarious balance for Harry and Meghan, who are often scrutinised whether they choose to speak out or stay silent.”

Meghan especially has been spotted hanging out with several celebrities in recent months, including actress Kerry Washington and singer Kelly Rowland.

And earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess had dinner with Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden as well as actress-cum-entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow – whom Meghan is said to have long admired.
