Meghan Markle and Prince Harry demand answers after 'huge kick in the teeth'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly demanding answers after receiving a “huge kick in the teeth”, according to a source.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently failed to appear on the shortlist of Emmy Award nominees, and the pair are now intent on finding out why.

The couple released their six-episode docuseries last December, with the release showing all signs that it is eligible to be nominated for the prestigious award,

The list of nominees feature shows that were released between June 2022 and May 2023, with the couple’s show airing on December 8, 2022 – as well as it shooting to the top of the Netflix charts.

It has been claimed that Meghan and Harry feel as though there is a hate campaign against them, which has led to the Emmy snub.

The source said: “The fact they didn’t get an Emmy nod is a huge kick in the teeth.

“They’re convinced there’s been an orchestrated hate campaign against them on both sides of the Atlantic, and that certain people are trying to get in on the act.”

Speaking to Heat Magazine, the insider added that the couple are now demanding a “full request” on who is to blame.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly want to know who “put the boot in and what on earth they’ve got to do to catch a break”.

Despite the disappointment for the couple, the series fast became Netflix’s most-streamed show.

Although a nomination for the Emmy Awards failed to appear, the two-part Netflix docuseries has been placed up for another award, the Hollywood Critics Award.

The show has been placed into the category for the Best Streaming Non-Fiction.

Harry and Meghan’s docuseries appeared to add more fuel to the ongoing feud between the couple and the Royal Family.

Tensions have been running high for some time, with the couple’s show appearing to heighten it further.

The couple spoke of their time within the Royal Family, also focusing on their ever-strained relationship with the British press.
