Meghan Markle accused of 'shopping as though she's still taking part in a Netflix series'

Meghan Markle is breaking away from Prince Harry’s attempt to be “anonymous”, according to body language expert Judi James.

The expert claims that Meghan is taking a different approach when she is out and about, as the Duchess of Sussex likes to “acknowledge the camera”.

The Duchess of Sussex recently enjoyed a solo trip to the local farmers’ market near the couple’s home in California.

Instead of Prince Harry, Meghan was joined by a security guard and one of her dogs.

According to Ms James, the 41-year-old looked as though she was on an “idealised” shopping trip.

Ms James told the Mirror: “Meghan shops as though she’s still taking part in a Netflix series.”

Sporting a white shirt over a camel-coloured maxi dress, Meghan decided to buy a fresh bouquet of flowers on her visit.

Pointing out Meghan’s large handbag, which Ms James says looks to be a failed attempt to conceal her identity, the expert added: “The bag looks like a form of barrier or attempt to hide here but her famously beautiful face is only partly hidden by the shades and unlike Harry, she hasn’t gone down the baseball cap route to try to be anonymous.

“She also seems to acknowledge the camera with a smile, rather than ducking out of sight.”

Speaking of the trip, the expert added: “This is idealised A-list shopping complete with shoulder sack, designer shades and a bodyguard.

“Snifing orchids and tasting honey rather than pushing a trolley full of baked beans and fish fingers round the aisles of Lidl.”

Ms James said that her “comfortable” public appearance could be an attempt to “show her relatable and accessible side rather than her regal one”.

Prior to meeting Prince Harry, Meghan ran a lifetstyle blog called The Tig, which the Duchess used to write about topics such as fashion and travel.

Meghan ran the blog, which she described as her “passion project”, for three years.

The Duchess closed it down around the time she became engaged to Harry in 2017.

Although now-defunct, it has been suggested that Meghan is looking to bring the blog back up-and-running.
