Meghan has 'ruined Princess fantasy' for little girls, says former Miss Barbados

Meghan Markle has “cancelled” any fantasy any young girl has of marrying a Prince, a YouTuber specialising in royal news has claimed. YouTuber Leilani McConney, a former Miss Barbados, took aim at the Duchess of Sussex in a recent episode on her channel, saying: “She has cancelled any fantasy that any girl ever had about marrying a Prince. The little mermaid? You’re cancelled. Beauty and the Beast? You’re cancelled. Any girl who ever thought marrying a Prince was nice, she has ruined it for them.”

The Barbados beauty also said: “If I had a daughter come to me and say I wanted to marry a Prince, I would say, girl, it better be a Denmark Prince, it better be a Nigerian Prince. Please do not let it be an English Prince. This is the temperature of the climate at the moment.”

As a mother, Leilani says the thought came to her mind after reading a children’s book to a school class, trying to “ignite their fantasies and their imagination”.

The video, titled ‘New book calls out Harry and Meghan Markle’s bad behaviour’, also explores themes in the newly published royal book, titled ‘Our King, Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed’ by Robert Jobson. Leilani of Barbados’ video, uploaded earlier this month, has already gained over 47 thousand views on YouTube.

The YouTuber currently has around 62 thousand subscribers and has uploaded 216 videos to date. Her bio states she talks “about all things involving crowns”.

It has been confirmed by Buckingham Palace that Prince Harry will attend his father’s Coronation on Saturday May 6. Meghan Markle, however, will stay at home with their two children.

Prince Harry will only remain in the country for a short period of time surrounding the ceremony, before heading back across the pond to celebrate his son’s fourth birthday which falls on the same day as the Coronation.

Not only just a topic of YouTube speculation, opinions on choosing who to marry have also been voiced by Prince Harry, himself. In his Netflix series, Prince Harry said his decision to marry Meghan was “from his heart” and not because she would “fit the mould”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at St George’s chapel at Windsor castle on May 19, 2018.

Other royal topics on Leilani of Barbados’ channel have discussed The Duchess of Sussexes’ podcast on Spotify, ‘Archetypes’, royal walkabouts, and speculations surrounding the King’s crowning.

In the same video, Leilani shows excitement for the Coronation saying it is a “joyous occasion” and describes her praise for the additional Royal Family members attending.

She most recently gained traction for saying the Miss World 2000 pageant was “rigged’ in the favour of winner – the then Miss India, Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
