Meghan Markle has a packed schedule in May which will likely see at least one public appearance, according to royal writer Daniela Elser.
The Duchess of Sussex will be absent from Saturday’s historic occasion – when King Charles III is officially crowned monarch of Britain and the Commonwealth.
Writing for News.com.au, the commentator said that while Meghan will be “absolutely nowhere near” Westminster Abbey come Saturday, “that does not mean Charles is in the clear when it comes to the one-woman headline-generating whirligig of a former actress”.

Elser said: “While the King is gearing up for one of the most decisive months of his life, over in California so too is his daughter-in-law, embarking on a milestone month of her own that will see the 41-year-old return to the limelight with gusto.
“So, with the world about to get a whole lot more Meghan at the very same time that Charles is trying to keep the Coronation honeymoon going, who is going to win the battle for headlines, attention, clicks, likes, re-tweets, shares and whatever the hell kids do on TikTok?”
She went onto suggest Archie’s fourth birthday – on May 6 – may prompt a new photograph of the young prince, while Meghan will be at the Ms Foundation’s Women of Vision awards in New York 10 days later to collect an award.
May 19 is Harry and Meghan’s sixth wedding anniversary, while May 23 is another important date – the 48th annual Gracie Awards in LA where the Duchess is set to be awarded for Spotify series Archetypes.
Charles’s Coronation is set to be watched by billions across the globe, with Harry set to be among the list of high-profile stars appearing.
Others set to take part include the likes of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Take That – who are due to perform at the Coronation concert on Sunday night.
Reports show that interest in the Coronation itself may be dwindling after it emerged that just 361 applications for street parties were made.
This was massively down on last year’s applications, when around 16,000 applications were made for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
It comes as a YouGov poll found just 19 percent of Britons were expected to get involved with Coronation events, with 28 percent not participating at all.
The same poll, TalkTV suggested, said 35 percent of respondents “care little about the event”, with just nine percent “caring a great deal”.
Speaking on a TalkTV segment with Piers Morgan, royal historian Tessa Dunlop said the country could have “royal ceremonial fatigue”, with the Coronation coming so soon after the Platinum Jubilee and the Queen’s funeral in September last year.
She continued: “The Queen lived a very long time, so we had a Golden Jubilee, a Diamond Jubilee, a Platinum Jubilee. We had a thumper of a funeral, and now the heirs have come out of the machine.”
Harry’s place at the Coronation had been plagued with doubt, particularly after his bombshell memoir Spare was released earlier this year.
Among claims about royal life, the book alleged he and elder brother Prince William, next-in-line to the throne, had become embroiled in a physical spat.
