Meghan and Harry spark fan frenzy as they play with adorable puppy at Invictus Games

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have sent fans into a frenzy after they spotted a series of photos of the couple playing with a puppy at the Invictus Games last week.

A number of images show the couple give the excited pup lots of attention, including cuddles and belly rubs.

The Duke of Sussex holds the dog, named Hope who is a future assistant dog and part of the Belgian team, while Meghan holds her toy – which features Invictus branding.

The dog laps up the attention, and royal fans have fawned over the series of images that were taken at the cycling track during day six of the Games.

Fans took to X – formerly called Twitter – to comment in the pictures, with one person writing: “Adorable pictures. So much love.”

On Saturday the pair closed the Invictus Games, with Harry giving a moving speech focusing on the competitors.

Meghan did not join Harry on stage as he gave the speech, and instead sat and watched inside the stadium.

The royal appeared visibly tearful as he gave the five-minute speech – speaking in both German and English.

“We’ve all witnessed the true impact sport has had on your recovery. But you will never truly know the impact your actions this week have had on millions of people around the world,” he said.

“You have opened people’s hearts, through your vulnerability, through your resilience and your sheer abilities. You have shown us that joy can emerge from struggle.”
