McDonald's hit with second 'mice attack' by Palestine protesters in 24 hours

Free Palestine protesters have struck a second McDonald’s eatery in just 24 hours with a bizarre live mouse stunt that involves unloading the rodents in the restaurant.

Footage has been posted on TikTok twice now showing people causing mice mayhem. On Monday a branch of the fast-food chain was targeted at the Star City leisure complex in Birmingham.

Now another McDonald’s has been hit in the Perry Barr area of the city, with white mice being released in front of baffled customers.

The Daily Mail reports a man filming the latest incident on Tuesday can be heard saying: “Oh my days. Look at this. They’ve just dropped this off at McDonald’s. All these rats.

“Somebody just took that in. Oh my days.”

Pro-Palestinian protests have broken out across the globe against the war in Gaza sparked by a Hamas terrot attack on Israel on October 7. Demonstrators have been targeting a variety of corporations, including a Marks and Spencer store in Scotland.

After marching through the streets of Glasgow demanding an immediate ceasefire, they gathered outside M&S holding Palestinian flags and placards, reading “Freedom for Palestine”.

West Midlands Police has said it is investigating the previous incident at the Star City complex. It said on X: “We understand the distress this will have caused and it’s not acceptable in any circumstances.

“This is currently being treated as a public nuisance offence and we’ve active lines on enquiries to identify, and then arrest, who was involved.”

A spokesperson for McDonald’s told LBC about the attack on Monday: “We are aware of an incident in our Birmingham Star City restaurant this evening where a number of mice were released by a member of the public.

“Following the removal of the mice, the restaurant has been fully sanitised and our pest control partners have been called out to conduct a full inspection.”
