A man who heard eerie noises coming from his attic over three days was stunned to discover a woman living there. Davis Wahlman “jumped out” of bed after hearing rummaging sounds in his loft and set out to find the source. Wahlman found the door of his attic locked and was surprised to hear a woman calling out to him after he knocked on it.
The woman said: “Jimmy? Is that you Jimmy?”
Wahlman, who lives in Green Lake in the US state of Washington, added: “And I’m like, ‘no, it’s not Jimmy. Who is this and why are you in my house?'”
The homeowner called police and the woman unlocked the attic door, confronting him.
Wahlman said he found himself face-to-face with a complete stranger wearing gym bottoms and a tracksuit jacket.

The police however disputed his claim and insisted they intervened within six minutes of dispatch receiving his call.
He said he struggled to understand how the complete stranger had managed to access his attic but noted nothing appeared to have been stolen.
The Washington man discovered a fire-escape ladder hanging from the deck of the house and that a window screen in one of the bathrooms was in the tub.
The homeowner changed the locks on the property and took extra precautions to ensure the woman could not re-enter his house.
He told KPRC 2: “To come into a house like this, in this neighbourhood, that is clearly lived-in – that’s bold.”
