Man Utd trio flop in Nottingham Forest loss as Bruno Fernandes sums up Ten Hag troubles

Fernandes sums up Ten Hag struggles

Bruno Fernandes’ comments following the comeback win over Aston Villa really sum up the troubles Ten Hag is facing. The skipper refused to talk about how his team could build on the 3-2 success on Boxing Day.

He said: “I don’t want to speak about it. We had too many post-match interviews where we spoke about this. Game by game.”

And, as Fernandes perhaps feared, United’s inconsistencies have again been shown up. They were on fire in the second half against Villa as they turned around a two-goal deficit.

But they were a shadow of that team at the City Ground today. With a tame Wan-Bissaka effort United’s only shot in the first half, Forest turned up the gas after half-time and claimed a deserved result.

United have won just two of their last six league matches. They showed glimpses of turning things around in those wins against Chelsea and Villa but they have been unable to string two performances together of late.
