Man Utd stars 'back Jadon Sancho over Erik ten Hag' as worries raised over manager

Manchester United stars are reportedly rallying behind Jadon Sancho as the young winger is continuingly snubbed by boss Erik ten Hag. However, worries have been raised that Sancho will be pushed towards the door at Old Trafford as a reconcile seems increasingly unlikely.

The winger has not featured since taking to social media in retaliation to Ten Hag’s comments that the 23-year-old was not training at the required standard. Sancho played in all three of United’s opening Premier League fixtures and was then left out against Arsenal last month.

When asked to explain his decision to drop Sancho, Ten Hag’s blunt response spoke volumes about his thoughts on the winger’s performances in training. Outraged by his manager’s comments the winger took to social media to voice his opinion on the subject.

Sancho wrote: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that [are] completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”

The timing of the row meant that United could not offload the winger before the summer transfer window slammed shut. Since then Sancho has been left out and is currently training alone after being banished from the first team. Former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie believes that the United stars are backing the former Borussia Dortmund youngster.

“I think the United players have backed Sancho,” McAvennie told Football Insider. “It sounded as though he has been flung to the wolves and he is the one getting the blame of it. You can’t have an argument with your manager on social media, there is only one winner in that situation and unfortunately you cannot do that.
