Man Utd star brutally fumes at 'crying babies' as he calls out 'disgrace'

“It’s a difficult one to call but rolling around and crying like babies all afternoon is not football. For us, we just wanted to get on with our game whereas on the other side, they were provoking the referee a lot.”

McTominay has three goals for United so far this season. But he has also hit a rich vein of form for Scotland, with Thursday’s strike his seventh in the Euro qualifying campaign.

He admitted there was relief in the Scotland dressing room to eventually claim a point. McTominay added: “That’s fair to say. We’ve had some really good nights and we’re going to have some nights where we maybe don’t play as well.

“It’s important when we don’t play so well that we stick together and not lose the game and try to win. It’s about keeping your head, picking the right passes and being a little bit more patient.”
