Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera furiously squared off with Alejandro Garnacho after the latter’s opening goal for Manchester United on Wednesday night, but the incident was not picked up by TV cameras. The Red Devils made a fast start to proceedings in Istanbul and were duly rewarded with an early lead when Garnacho smashed the ball home after just 11 minutes.
Bruno Fernandes fed Garnacho with a cute pass before the 19-year-old took a touch and fired into the top corner with his left foot from close range. He went on to celebrate by taunting the home fans with a ‘calm down’ gesture, which appeared to frustrate Muslera while he was picking the ball out of the net.
