Man Utd squad 'tired' of Marcus Rashford with star 'very moody' at training ground

Marcus Rashford is facing an ‘uphill battle’ to regain the support of the Manchester United dressing room, according to new reports. The forward has recently come under fire after he called in sick to training following an alleged 12-hour drinking binge in Belfast.

Rashford has struggled for the Red Devils so far this season, only managing to find the back of the net on four occasions in his last 20 Premier League matches. The forward’s shaky displays have prompted speculation to grow as to whether he deserves to be a consistent starter in Erik ten Hag’s side, and his conduct away from the pitch has only fuelled those doubts.

The England international missed United training on Friday morning after calling in ill following a night out in Belfast. Rashford is believed to have been out until 3am drinking with friends and has since apologised to Ten Hag, having informed the club previously that he would be going out on the Wednesday.

It isn’t the first time that Rashford has been caught up in off-field antics in recent times, and the winger has reportedly lost the faith of his team-mates as a result. According to The Sun, players have ‘grown tired of his selfish behaviour’ and feel that Ten Hag’s trust in the forward has prompted others to be sold.

Rashford is the last remaining player from his old United friendship group which consisted of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Jadon Sancho and Brandon Williams. It is claimed that some individuals were allowed to depart in fear that they would be a ‘bad influence’ on the forward.

Despite that, Rashford allegedly continues to ‘cut a miserable figure’ behind the scenes at United, with some of his team-mates becoming frustrated by how he can at times be ‘very moody’ in training and during games. He has also been said to have become distant from the rest of the team as a result.
