Man Utd players 'complain' about Adidas kit to Ten Hag as Andre Onana and co take action

Several Manchester United stars have reportedly decided to start wearing replica items of kit during matches as they feel that the current Adidas fit for players is too tight. The Red Devils have made a poor start to the season, though their struggles do not appear to be purely performance-orientated.

Erik ten Hag’s side have won five of their opening 10 matches of the Premier League campaign, losing the other five. United therefore sit in eighth place in the table and will need to improve drastically if they are to retain their spot in the Champions League placings and challenge for silverware.

The Red Devils have come under severe criticism for their performances, with the squad looking short of motivation and ideas. However, the higher powers at Old Trafford are not only contending with on-field matters at present.

According to the Daily Mail, several members of Ten Hag’s side have complained about how their kits fit this season and have taken action by choosing to wear the replica shirts, which are available to the public, instead as it is looser fitting.

There is a feeling within the team that the player-issued shirts, specifically made for the United squad, are too tight and therefore not as comfortable as other strips. Summer signing Andre Onana is said to be among the complainants and has been wearing a replica goalkeeper strip since his side beat Sheffield United on October 21.

Last season, David de Gea complained to Adidas that his goalkeeper strip was too baggy and his feedback was taken onboard. However, the consequential changes made by the manufacturer are not appropriate for Onana as the ex-Inter Milan shot-stopper is of a bulkier build and has a wider frame than his predecessor.
