Man Utd draw up 'same transfer plan' for Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho

Manchester United will reportedly make a final decision on Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood’s futures in the summer, by which point a new sporting director is expected to have their feet under the table at Old Trafford.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd are close to finalising terms for Sancho to return to Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season but there is no buy option in the deal as United believe Sancho’s value is “unrealistic” after being banished from the first team by Erik ten Hag.

Romano goes on to add that they will reassess his next steps at the end of his stint with BVB. The Red Devils will be hoping he can impress while out on loan and attract more lucrative offers in the summer and beyond.

It is a similar situation for Greenwood, who is being tracked by multiple top European clubs while out on loan at Getafe. According to the Sun, the Spanish side have informed Man Utd that they are willing to make the deal permanent in January while Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid are all monitoring his progress.

But despite Getafe reportedly insisting they will pay £40m for the Carrington academy graduate, Man Utd are choosing to remain patient.
