Man Utd chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe names boss he'd like to win Premier League this year

Ratcliffe also lifted a lid on his approach to transfers, before gearing up for his first summer window in charge of United. When asked whether he would prefer to bring Kylian Mbappe to Old Trafford or land Tadej Pogacar for INEOS, Ratcliffe dismissed the idea of signing the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

“What I would rather do, I’d rather find the next Mbappe, rather than spend a fortune just trying to buy success,” he replied. “It’s not, you know, it’s not that clever, is it, buying Mbappe, in a way?

“And, you know, anybody, anyone could figure that one out. But what’s much more challenging is to find the next Mbappe, or the next (Jude) Bellingham, or the next Roy Keane.”
