Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams is being heavily linked with a Premier League move this summer. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are the two most heavily linked.
The 21-year-old has registered six goals and 14 assists this season, and Athletic are reportedly planning for life without him.
His £43m release clause looks likely to be too enticing an opportunity to ignore, and it would fit nicely into United’s budget if Dortmund meet their valuation of Sancho.
Williams can play on either wing, although he prefers the left, which would provide Marcus Rashford with much-needed competition.
