Man Utd and Tottenham told how to win £15m transfer race as tricky part begins

Stuttgart hotshot Serhou Guirassy is attracting interest from multiple top European clubs following an outstanding start to life at the MHP Arena. The Guinean international signed a permanent contract with the Bundesliga outfit after impressing on loan with them during the previous campaign but he may already be on his way out of the door.

So far during the 2023/2024 campaign, Guirassy has found the back of the net 16 times in 11 league appearances – plus two more in the DFB-Pokal – and to make matters even better for potential suitors he has a release clause tied into his contract of just £15million.

Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and AC Milan are among the many clubs queueing up to acquire his services. Thanks to his accessible price tag many teams will be in the running to snap him up but according to TEAMtalk, the second phase of the deal will be tricky for those with less funds available as sources claim Guirassy and his representatives will weigh up personal terms offered to him by clubs – which means a wage war could ensue.

The English Premier League is the richest division in Europe so Man Utd, Tottenham and Arsenal should have an advantage in that regard. Guirassy is currently earning £56,000-a-week at Stuttgart and has three years remaining on his deal.

Stuttgart reportedly offered the 27-year-old an improved contract which also would have removed his release clause but as per German newspaper BILD, he rejected the proposal.  The report goes on to add that Guirassy is looking for a fresh challenge in the New Year.

Speaking about his future to the Guardian back in November, Guirassy said: “I cannot hide these things – everyone knows the Premier League is one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

“But at this time I don’t close any doors. There are some very big teams in Europe and it’s not focused only on the Premier League. At Stuttgart, we have such a good team and everything is possible in football. If we can continue to be humble like we have been so far then we have a good chance.”

Guirassy is the out-and-out goal scorer Man Utd and Tottenham are crying out for this season. Spurs are yet to replace Harry Kane after his departure in the summer while things haven’t panned out the way United would have liked for Rasmus Hojlund since signing for the club in August for £72m.
