Man pleads not guilty to murdering tragic beautician Elle Edwards on Christmas Eve


Connor Chapman, 23, has pleaded not guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to the murder of Elle Edwards, 26, a beautician shot dead in a pub in Wirral, Merseyside, on Christmas Eve. Chapman, wearing a grey Nike jumper, appeared via videolink from HMP Manchester, where he is currently on remand.

He pleaded not guilty to the murder of Ms Edwards, as well as the attempted murder of Jake Duffy and Kieran Salkeld, and charges of wounding with intent against Harry Loughran, Jake Speed and Liam Carr.

Co-defendant Thomas Waring, 20, of Private Drive, Barnston, Wirral, denies possession of a prohibited weapon, namely a Skorpion submachine gun.
