Man City boss Pep Guardiola explains why Phil Foden was 'grumpy' with him in Madrid draw

Foden has already alleviated concerns that he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, however, diagnosing himself with a dead leg after a heavy challenge from Eduardo Camavinga.

When asked if he was okay, Foden replied: “Yeah, I hope so. I’ve got a bit of a bad dead leg but I’ve got a bit of time now to recover, so hopefully I can.”

Kevin De Bruyne also missed the draw with Madrid after picking up an illness before the match, while key defenders Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake also remain absent.
