Man arrested on suspicion of murder after victim 'with knife wounds' found in Lincoln home


Lincolnshire Police have arrested a man in Grantham, on suspicion of murder

The 37-year-old remains in custody for questioning.

It comes after another man was found dead at a house in the market town, with what are believed to be knife wounds.

Police made the discovery following an emergency 999 call this morning (Saturday), just after 4.20am. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police remain at the property in Eton Street as the investigation into the death continues, LincolnshireLive reports.

A forensic tent has since been put up in Eton Street, which remains cordoned off by police.

Detective Inspector Melanie Crutchley, Senior Investigating Officer, East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: “We are at the very early stages in our investigation.

“I appreciate the local community will be concerned by this sad news this morning.

“I can say we have arrested a man in his 30s and are not looking for anyone else at this stage.

“He remains in custody and we will update as the enquiry progresses.

“I would appeal for anyone who believes they can help with information to get in touch.”
