An individual who is suspected of stealing Madeleine McCann reportedly partied with friends weeks after being quizzed about the disappearance of the toddler.

Christian Brueckner, 47, one of the main suspects in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann from Portugal in 2007, was seen enjoying a party with friends just weeks after he was first interviewed by police.

Brueckner, who is currently in prison in Germany for rape. He was made a formal suspect by the prosecution in Portugal in 2022.

He was initially identified by German lawyers in 2020 when he was listed as Christian B.

Brueckner is also expected in court later this year where he will be accused of five offences allegedly committed over a 17-year period in Portugal between 2000 and 2017.

According to the Mail, there are photos of him celebrating his 37th birthday in 2013 with friends. In the photos he can be seen eating food and smiling and laughing as he eats steak and salad.

Another photo shows him hugging a pet dog. The Sun also reported that a former friend of Brueckner claimed he had been the “life and soul” of the party.

The paper reported that the source said: “He would get everyone drunk with free booze and we would end up partying until two or 3am. His birthday was the same. It ended up being a really long night.”

Brueckner has been considered the main suspect in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann since she went missing on May 3, 2007, from the Praia da Luz resort, in Portugal.

Brueckner was named as an official suspect just under two years ago in April 2022 when his VW T3 campervan was allegedly seen near the resort where Madeleine McCann had been staying.

To this day, he has denied he was responsible for the kidnapping and claims he was with a woman at the time. In 2021 prosecutors were said they were sure they had the right person. However, Brueckner has not been arrested or charged in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
