Road users are advised to follow the Hollow Circle diversion symbol on road signs. The diversion route, according to the National Highways, is as follows:
Leave the M60 clockwise at J4.
Join the M56 westbound and continue until J2.
Exit the M56 and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto the A560 westbound.
Continue until the M56 J3 roundabout.
Take the third exit onto the A5130 northbound.
Continue until the M60 J5 roundabout and then re-join the M60 clockwise.
