A “serious” collision near Heathrow Airport has caused the M25 to be closed, leading to a mass buildup of traffic this morning.
The closure is clockwise between junction 14 (Stanwell Moor/Heathrow Airport) and junction 16 (M40).
A serious collision investigation is being carried out, National Highways said, adding that the closure “is expected to be protracted and in place for a considerable time today”.
A lorry and a car were involved in the incident.
