Luke Littler has revealed that Barney van Barneveld has told him that he is capable of winning the World Championships following their match on Saturday night. The 16-year-old cruised to victory over his boyhood hero, winning 4-1 to book his spot in the quarter-finals.
With Littler soaking in his monumental victory, he shared an embrace with Van Barneveld and appeared to have a brief conversation before parting ways. Asked about what was said, Littler revealed to Sky Sports: “He said at the end, you can go all the way. I said thank you. He is a true gentleman.”
