'Loud' explosion near Horseguards Parade after WW2 bomb found


A loud controlled explosion was carried out after a member of the public found an unexploded WW2 grenade in St James’ Park.

Tourists were left stunned after the “very old” device was discovered, social media users revealed.

The area has been blocked off to the public as police tackle the incident.

One social media user said the explosion was “very loud”.

She added that her “10 year old daughter now scared out of her wits”.
