Lizzo gets pulses racing in risqué sequined mini-dress

Lizzo flaunted her incredible curves as she performed at a VIP dinner hosted by iHeartMedia and MediaLink at the glamorous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes on Tuesday (June 20). The singer, 35, donned a gold sequinned mini-dress as she performed a collection of her hits for the celebrity audience.

Her eye-catching outfit had sheer panels, a deep neckline and thigh-high slits to compliment her figure.

Her onstage look was completed by sparkly gold boots and some large hoop earrings, MailOnline reports.

Alongside a perfect palette of make-up the pop star wore her dark locks loose as they fell below her shoulders.

Radiating her trademark on-stage confidence, Lizzo’s backup singers joined her as well as a live band who all donned figure-hugging silver mini-dresses.

This comes following the singer’s announcement that she would donate $50,000 each day to black-led grass roots businesses in honour of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth became the newest US federal holiday when President Joe Biden signed the bill in 2021 in honour of the liberation of enslaved Black Americans.

It has long been a regional holiday in the South of the US, which has hiked in fame since protests in 2020 over police killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks and many other African Americans.

On Tuesday (June 20) Lizzo announced she was donating her first $50k to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, a charity which supports the LGBTQ community.

It’s namesake was an American gay liberation activist and self-identified drag queen renowned for being a vocal gay rights advocate as one of the most prominent figures in the 1969 Stonewall uprising.

Lizzo announced the news on Instagram, saying: “The first organisation that we are highlighting is the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.

“Thats right, we know who Marsha P. Johnson is and we know what Marsha P. Johnson has done for the LGBTQ, emphasis on that T [trans] community.

“What the Marsha P. Johnson Institute does is protect and defends the human rights of black trans gender people.”

Lizzo then added: “They do this by organising, advocating for the people and creating an intensional healing community”.

The clip was captioned: “LIZZOS JUNETEENTH GIVEBACK IS PROUD TO PRESENT 50,000$ TO THE MARSHA P. JOHNSON INSTITUTE

“Thank you to @mpjinstitute for all you do for black trans women & the trans community”.

Earlier in the day Lizzo posted a picture of herself in a white dress with a sash reading ‘Miss Black America’, and a bouquet of red roses in hand as she said: “Happy Juneteenth, never forget this is a holiday celebrating black liberation.”
