Liverpool shooting: Police lock down residential road after man gunned down in house


Cops in Liverpool have shut down a street as forensic teams investigate an incident which saw a man shot. As a result, Grenfell Road in the Clubmoor area of the city has been cordoned off and there is a noticeable police presence in the area. 

The victim of the shooting arrived at the hospital early on Sunday with a non-life-threatening injury to his shoulder, reports LiverpoolEcho.

Witnesses have reported the arrival of police and paramedics on Saturday, March 25, just before 9 pm.

Merseyside Police have released a statement confirming a shooting victim is a man aged 20 who suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

The police statement read: “The 20-year-old male victim, who is refusing to co-operate with detectives, self-presented at hospital in the early hours of this morning with a gunshot injury to his shoulder, which is not life threatening.

 

Officers were called at about 8.30pm following reports to the ambulance service that a man had been shot at an address on Grenfell Road.

When officers arrived at the address the man had already left in a taxi.

At 12.45am the injured male self-presented at hospital with a gunshot injury to his shoulder.”
