Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch asks Jurgen Klopp to sign Arsenal star

Arteta said: “It’s a huge blow, especially for him having just joined the club to have the injury that he has is a huge disappointment for him. We recruited him with clear intentions and what he was bringing to the team was evident, and he’s not going to be in this season for us.

“We have to adapt, these things happen unfortunately, and we have to move on. Jurrien has been very good, to be honest, he’s a special character.”

Arsenal will be hoping Timber is back at some point in the second half of the season. Gravenberch, meanwhile, is being eased into English football by Klopp.

The 21-year-old is yet to start in the Premier League, with all four of his appearances coming as a substitute. He scored his first goal in the Europa League win over Union Saint-Gilloise.
