Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp offers worrying Mohamed Salah injury update

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provided a downbeat update on Mohamed Salah’s injury status after he was forced off at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Thursday. The Egyptian winger has already spoken with the Reds boss, who believes there is ‘definitely something’ wrong while awaiting further information.

“We don’t know anything,” admitted Klopp during his Liverpool press conference on Friday morning. “We spoke last night and there was an assessment, they will do that and we will know more.

“At that moment he was shocked and couldn’t see why he was hit by something so intense. He felt it and we know how rarely Mo goes off so it is definitely something but I don’t have any more [info]. There will be an ultrasound and MRI and then we will see.”
